Kahlpahlim Rock (Lambs Head)

Dinden Forest Reserve Atherton

Natural Attractions

Kahlpahlim Rock, also known as Lambs Head, is the highest point in the Lamb Range and presents a challenging adventure for the experienced bushwalker. The sheer size of the rocks and the views over the Davies Creek catchment, if the weather is clear, are impressive. The steep, but beautiful, trail follows a former logging track through rainforest with impressive kauri pines before entering casuarina and banksia forest and then winding up and around massive granite boulders and high altitude rainforest. The trail can be undertaken as a return walk along the original Kahlpahlim trail or as a circuit route returning via the ridge trail, which joins the original trail about one kilometre short of the summit.
