Welcome to Castaways, a 4 bedroom, tropical luxury home just five minutes walk to the beautiful beach and restaurants of Palm Cove.

Located in the prestigious Oceans Edge Estate, the beach and Palm Cove Esplanade are just a 10 minute walk across a scenic boardwalk which is also lit up at night. It offers the perfect tropical getaway to relax while still being able to enjoy all the restaurants and facilities of the local area. Palm Cove Village is a fun and relaxing beach front filled with café life, alfresco dining, boutiques and galleries.

The open plan living, kitchen and dining area wrap around the heated saltwater swimming pool and open onto the alfresco dining area and separate gazebo for lounging and relaxation . Foxtel and Internet available.

Inside the fully air conditioned house, the master bedroom which is well placed away from the other bedrooms for added privacy, features a walk in robe and an extra large ensuite with double shower.

There are two more double bedrooms with queen beds and storage and a fourth bedroom with two singles that can be zipped into a king on request. The bedrooms have been artfully decorated in keeping with the Queensland climate and benefit from blackout plantation shutters.

A full family bathroom is serviced by a shower and separate bath.

The house has been designed and built by a local award winning building company specially to capture the welcome cooling breezes and beautiful views of the Melaleuca trees.

Guests also enjoy free access to the Oceans Edge Health Club including fully equipped gym, 25 meter lap pool, sauna and timetabled classes only 2 minutes walk away at the country club (not incl. squash).

It's four bedroom sister house "Sandcastles" is only a couple of meters away which would afford 8 bedrooms if they were booked together.

Palm Cove is approximately a 25 minute drive north of Cairns International Airport. Close by is Clifton Village Shopping Centre that has Coles, Target Country, Liquorland, Brumbies, chemist, medical centre, newsagency, butcher, hairdresser. There is also a Thai and Italian restaurant plus a fish and chip shop.

Enjoy the laid back lifestyle of the beachside and easy access to the Great Barrier Reef. Nestled between two World Heritage sites - The Great Barrier Reef and The Daintree Rainforest.

Attractions:

The Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest are all within easy reach. Enjoy swimming or sun bathing at a local beach or try jet skiing, sailing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding to nearby islands or fishing.Stroll along The Esplanade or take a swim in the man made lagoon. Cairns is also the home of SCUBA Diving in Australia and there are a number of companies offering dive trips and dive courses.

Other local attractions include the Botanical Gardens, Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and Scenic Rail to Kuranda, Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, Cairns Kart Hire and Laser Tag or try cable skiing at Cairns Wake Park or if you dare AJ Hackett's Bungee Jump. Visit and feed the crocodiles at Hartley's Crocodile Farm.

If you want to explore further afield you could visit Paronella Park, go wild water rafting at Tully, Sky Dive, tour the Tablelands or simply take the beautiful scenic drive to Port Douglas.

"Beautiful property and loved our stay. Great for travelling with kids as provided portacot, high chair, toys and games cupboard, pool toys. Pool is heated to 28 degrees which in winter was a bit cool at first getting in but nice once you were in. Lovely walk down to the beach and the local area is very well maintained. Lots of lovely cafes and restaurants close by. Property was clean, quiet and relaxing. "

The house wraps around the heated pool, which adjoins two outdoor entertaining areas. There is a boardwalk nearby that cuts through to the beach and restaurants, making the location very convenient.
